Thinks Obama was unprepared on climate change when they met, telling the legislators, “I told him, ‘I don't think that you have quite understood what we are doing on carbon dioxide.'"

Jokes about his sanctified image, says he pressed Obama to agree to visit France in June for the anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. “I am going to ask him to walk on the Channel, and he'll do it."

Sarkozy's office denies some of the comments were made at the lunch, but not the ones about Obama.
