TV shows focused on McCain-Obama terror feud, energy battle, and Michelle Obama's image.

CNN's “American Morning”: Giuliani continued GOP attacks on Obama over terror, said he has “a pre-Sept. 11 mentality that he wants to return to.” Also criticized recent Gitmo decision, saying “We've been safe, so I don't know why we want to change….”

Obama adviser Rice said McCain's team is playing from “the Karl Rove playbook” and pursuing “a stupid and fundamentally failed policy.” Accused McCain of flip-flopping on trying Gitmo detainees.

CNN looked at Michelle Obama and perceived need to re-define herself, ABC's “GMA” looked at roles of candidates' spouses.

MSNBC's “Morning Joe”: Giuliani repeated his message, saying Obama favors a “defensive” response to terror. Said Clinton was right when she called him “irresponsible and naive.”

Obama adviser Rice pushed back, saying McCain offers the same “stupid” approach to foreign policy that mired the U.S. in Iraq.

Axelrod also linked GOP attackers to Iraq and failed attempt to find Bin Laden: “We can trade charges of naivete, but facts are facts.” Promoted Obama's energy plan, and denied that Michelle Obama is in need of “a makeover.”

“Fox and Friends”: Giuliani echoed accusation that Democrats would put the U.S. “on the defensive” on terrorism by treating it as a criminal matter.

CBS' “Early Show”: Gov. Richardson criticized offshore drilling.
