The Page's Full Coverage of the Thursday Morning Shows

Rev. Jackson's "crude" criticism of Obama led all morning shows- commentators largely agreed the comments will help Obama politically. Also prominently mentioned Obama forgetting to request donations for Clinton.
Giuliani discussed Obama's recent shifts to the center on "Fox and Friends." Said "when people start doing that, it's hard to figure out what they really believe." Suggested the country doesn't know "the core of the man," as it does with McCain. Said Clinton made an effective case against Obama, and Republicans won't say much about Obama she didn't say herself.
On MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Giuliani said Obama's shifts are concerning. "A lot of people voted for him thinking he was a different kind of candidate.... When do you get to the point where you stand for nothing?" Said Obama captured "an anti-American feeling" when he said Americans should learn a second language. Criticized Obama's willingness to meet with Iran's leaders.
On "Fox and Friends," Sen. Reed called Jackson's comments "unacceptable." Said Obama is right to emphasize greater diplomacy with Iran, as well as to back tougher sanctions.
Also on Fox, Gov. Jindal said Jackson's comments are "inexcusable." Promoted McCain's energy policies, and said said while he doesn't always agree with McCain, "at least you always know where he stands."
