The Page's Election Day Primer
VIRGINIA
Polls open from 6 am ET to 7 pm ET.

RACE TO WATCH: Gubernatorial
CANDIDATES: State senator Creigh Deeds (D) vs. former state attorney general Bob McDonnell (R)
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Obama has been to Virginia twice to stump for Deeds (the second time less than a week ago) but the Democratic candidate is still trailing in the polls. If McDonnell pulls off a win it would place a Republican in the governor's mansion for the first time in eight years.
LATEST POLLING DATA: RealClearPolitics average has McDonnell up by 13.4 points.
ELECTION RESULTS: Get it here once the polls close.
NEW JERSEY
Polls open from 6 am ET to 8 pm ET.

RACE TO WATCH: Gubernatorial
CANDIDATES: Incumbent Gov. Corzine (D) vs. former U.S. attorney Chris Christie (R)
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Obama has been very involved in this race, doing back-to-back events in New Jersey with Corzine just this Sunday. Corzine's only chance is if the independent candidate, Chris Daggett, can draw around 15% of the vote and draw support away for Christie.
LATEST POLLING DATA: RealClearPolitics average has Christie up by 1 point (with most polls in the past week showing the race within the margin of error).
ELECTION RESULTS: Get it here once the polls close.
NEW YORK
Polls open from 6 am ET to 9 pm ET.

RACE TO WATCH: New York City Mayoral
CANDIDATES: Incumbent mayor Bloomberg (I) vs. New York City comptroller Bill Thompson (D)
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Bloomberg had to get an amendment to New York City's term limits law to be able to run in this race -- something Thompson has tried to throw in his face during the campaign. The White House has done its best to stay out of it with Bloomberg being an ally on many issues.
LATEST POLLING DATA: RealClearPolitics average has Bloomberg leading by 12.7 points.
ELECTION RESULTS: Get it here once the polls close.

RACE TO WATCH: NY-23 special election
CANDIDATES: Doug Hoffman (Conservative party) vs. Bill Owens (D)
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Republican Dede Scozzafava shook up the race by suspending her campaign Saturday -- and then throwing her support behind the Democrat. Owens also had Vice President Biden stumping with him Monday while Hoffman has the support of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and many leading national conservative figures.
LATEST POLLING DATA: Monday Sienna poll has Hoffman up by 5 points -- one of the few polls factoring in Scozzafava's drop out.
ELECTION RESULTS: Get it here once the polls close.
