On Monday’s Morning Shows

Both Democrats swept all six of Monday’s morning shows.
Obama:
ABC’s “Good Morning America”: Dug at Clinton’s gas tax plan. Downplayed Wall Street Journal story on Teamsters, denying that he offered “blanket commitments.” Watch video.
NBC’s “Today”: Fielded questions about Rev. Wright, said Clinton is “not being honest with the American people” about her gas tax plan. Watch video.
CBS’ “Early Show”: Downplayed importance of polling, criticized Clinton’s gas plan.
CNN’s “American Morning”: Attacked Clinton’s gas plan and her “obliterate” remark about Iran, comparing it to Bush’s language. “If you’re running for president, you shouldn’t be stirring up international incidents.” John Roberts said CNN has declared a “Rev. Wright-free zone”– “our viewers want us to move on.”
On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”: Gas plan, delegates.
“Fox & Friends”: Said he reduced large arena rallies because he wasn’t spending enough time listening to voters. Gas plan, Iran. Said he is “looking forward” to appearing with Bill O’Reilly.
Clinton:
ABC’s “Good Morning America”: Said campaign “started out so far behind” in Tuesday’s contests. Insisted critics of her gas tax plan, including Warren Buffett, don’t fully understand it.
NBC’s “Today”: Stood by her gas plan amid repeated questioning. Said recent Wall Street bailout was “probably necessary for the economy.” Said again she has more of the popular vote than Obama. Watch video.
CBS’ “Early Show”: Said people should ask Obama how he plans to persuade superdelegates to support him, and not only ask her. Repeated that many do not understand her gas plan, said opposition to it “stuns” her.
CNN’s “American Morning”: Said she wants to pursue price manipulation by energy traders, not just oil companies. Defended Iran comments, declined to define “massive retaliation” if Iran attacked Israel. Said Michigan and Florida ballots are “real votes” that should be counted.
MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”: More on gas plan, said Obama’s campaign claimed he would win both states two weeks ago.
“Fox & Friends”: Gas plan, Michigan and Florida.
Clinton spokesman Wolfson on “Joe”: Promoted gas plan, said Obama repeatedly voted for a gas-tax holiday in Illinois.
Obama strategist Axelrod on “Joe”: Lengthy attack on gas plan. Said Clinton opposed a gas-tax holiday in her 2000 Senate campaign, and Obama will do “very well” on Tuesday.
President and Laura Bush on GMA. Bush said he’ll “look at” a gas-tax suspension, but high gas prices will take a long time to address. Suggested building more refineries, exploring for energy at home.
