Obama's Word Association on Fox Business Network
Senator Barack Obama made his FOX Business Network debut today and played a game of word association with Alexis Glick. His responses are below.
Alexis Glick: Senator, I want to have a little fun with you if you don't mind because you like to have some fun. We do something on our show about word association.
Senator Obama: Go ahead.
Alexis Glick: I'm going to give you a couple of words and you just tell me what you think.
Senator Obama: I'll do my best.
Alexis Glick: NAFTA
Senator Obama: Mixed bag.
Glick: Wall Street.
Obama: Money.
Glick: Sovereign Wealth Funds.
Obama: Caution.
Glick: Iran.
Obama: Threat.
Glick: Exxon Mobile.
Obama: Profitable.
Glick: OPEC.
Obama: One word. For OPEC I would say is independence. The association I have there is we have to free ourselves from dependence on OPEC.
Glick: Senator John McCain.
Obama: Honorable.
Glick: There is a big event going on this evening and it is the NBA draft. And your home team, the Chicago Bulls, have the number one draft pick. Who do they pick?
Obama: I think Derek Rose is the man. I think he is Jason Kidd with a jump shot. I think he'll be a great point guard in the NBA and he's from Chicago.
Glick: So hey that sounds like a great plan!
Obama: Absolutely.
Glick: Next time we sit down, you know I'm a basketball player, I want to play basketball with you.
Obama: You've got game?
Glick: I've got game! Listen, I'm a graduate of Columbia and a basketball player. I was thinking zone defense, man to man, we can go to the free-throw line and see who does the best out of ten.
Obama: Let me see your nails.
Glick: Oh they are horrible.
Obama: You're going to have to clip those before we get on the court.
Glick: Next time it's a date?
Obama: Let's go.
Glick: It's a deal?
Obama: It's a deal.
