Obama Monday Pool Report
8:23am: the presidential motorcade heads out from Obama's home toward the press conference downtown, driving through a wet snow and trees and homes picturesquely blanketed in white. Unlike sunnier days when people would stop and wave, passersby with hoods pulled tight against the weather don't seem to acknowledge the motorcade.
8:43am: After being slowed by rush hour traffic ahead of the motorcade, and amid thick fog and snow on Lake Shore Drive, the motorcade arrives at the Chicago Hilton and Towers, 720 S. Michigan Ave., for the press announcement. The motorcade drives through a small garage entrance separate.
