Obama Camp Memo on Democratic Nomination Math

Senator Obama today moved closer to becoming the Democratic nominee by winning two pledged delegates in Guam and picking up the support of one superdelegate (Guam Democratic Party vice chair Jaime Paulino).  That total of 3 delegates means that Obama is now only 276 delegates away from securing the Democratic nomination.

Contests – Obama 31, Clinton 15
Total Delegates – Obama 1749, Clinton 1611
Pledged delegates Obama needs for a majority of pledged delegates – 133
Total delegates Obama needs for the nomination – 276
