Morning Shows for October 30

Morning shows wrapped up a busy Wednesday night in politics, including Obama's infomercial and rally with Bill Clinton.

On ABC"s "Good Morning America," brief interview with Obama at his Florida rally. Bill Clinton said "Hillary was my first choice" but he and his wife have worked hard to support Obama. Declined to say Biden's "tested" comment was a mistake, but said "he's going to be candid almost to a fault."

Gov. Palin said a "negative spin" in the media might be responsible for her lower approval rating, but "I don't care what the polls say. I honestly don't." Said "it would have been nice" if Colin Powell, other Republicans had met her before suggesting she is unqualified to be VP. Said she can't think of anything she would do differently, denounced sexism in the campaign, and repeated that she doesn't plan to keep the clothing bought for her.

On NBC's "Today," GOP strategist Mike Murphy said McCain should "play to the max" in Pennsylvania and also hit Florida. Former Rep. Harold Ford recommended Obama stump in Ohio and Florida.

On MSNBC, Murphy called Virginia "the hole in the boat" for McCain and said "they're smoking crack" to be contesting Iowa.

On CNN's "American Morning," Gov. Kaine said he believes Obama will be the underdog until Nov. 4 in Virginia, based on its long support for Republicans. Said some Republicans are trying to pit different parts of the state against each other, and that "really backfires."

On "Fox and Friends," Joe the Plumber called Obama "a man of mystery" who "gets a pass" from the media.
