Andrea Mitchell said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that University of Texas' Jim Steinberg will be Deputy Secretary of State.
Also on "Joe," Obama economics adviser Goolsbee declined to put a dollar figure on Obama's economic plan, said there will be no more economic "dithering" during the Obama administration. Fended off notion that Obama takes responsibility for the economy beginning Monday.
On CNN's "American Morning," Goolsbee said "we definitely need" another economic stimulus, and said seeking to balance the budget in the short-term "would be terrible."
Senior Obama adviser Axelrod said Monday's announcements will be "largely confined to the appointees and the general direction he wants to go," but said he may comment on a potential auto bailout or other issues during the Q&A.
