Missed Connections Before Clinton and Obama Finally Talk

Per Obama senior adviser Linda Douglass: He called Clinton at 11:06 pm ET and left a message congratulating her on winning South Dakota and asking her to call him back.

Message was left on voicemail of Huma Abedin, Clinton's body person, which is the phone he calls when trying to reach her on election nights.

CNN: Clinton camp tried to call back and get the two in touch, but they then got his voicemail.

At 12:16 am ET, Clinton returns Obama's call, and they speak.
