Full Coverage of the Tuesday Morning Shows

ABC, NBC, CBS spent significant part of early broadcasts on Clinton admitting she misspoke on her Bosnia record.
ABC's “Good Morning America,” called incident “embarrassing,” noting she spent yesterday on the defensive when she should have been getting positive coverage for her economic speech. Video of Chelsea Clinton on the stump saying she supports what her mother said, adding she was there too.
James Carville defended her, said about her misspeaking that you “never like to see these things happen but it's not unusual in politics.” Continued to defend Richardson statements, said he felt endorsement needed to be “branded properly” and he's glad he did.
On NBC's “Today,” Andrea Mitchell recalled that she was on trip to Bosnia with Clinton, said she remembered it differently with “no sniper attack.” Bob Shrum said he was “stunned” by the “explicitness of her recollection.” Chuck Todd said it was in prepared remarks of speech so it was a “boneheaded mistake” that is going to invite renewed scrutiny of her record.
Also discussed Clinton's “new math” of counting electoral votes to demonstrate her strength. Todd said it's the “first metric they've come up with that they're leading on.”
CBS' “Early Show” said it was a “morning where she may wish she was under more fire.” Correspondent Sharyl Attkisson, who was on the trip, recounted events. Jeff Greenfield said this has become a big deal because of the contrast between the “vividness of her memory” and the videotape. Said “she didn't need this right now.”
Also had interviews with Kilpatrick prosecutor, defense attorney: Prosecutor Worthy stressed that text messages only part of their evidence and case is not just about sex issues. Defense Attorney Webb said Kilpatrick is going to enter a “not guilty” plea on court Tuesday. Downplayed case, said perjury does not usually stem from civil cases.
