From reporting by TIME's Jay Newton-Small:

Obama and Clinton met briefly on the Senate floor during votes this afternoon. Obama approached Hillary and had a 30-second conversation.

Afterwards Hillary spent a while chatting with Joe Biden, aftwrwards writing Biden's name on a white card she carried, underlining it twice. She also chatted with Cantwell, Mikulski, Conrad, Lincoln, Byrd and Baucus who greeted her with a booming "Great job, Senator!"

Baucus then said "Hello" to Obama who spent most of the time huddling in deep conversation with Kerry sitting by Kerry's desk.

Clinton also chatted with Carl Levin in the cloak room. And John Thune told her "you're looking great out there." Sheldon Whitehouse who grabbed Clinton in the corridor on the way out after she ducked into the bathroom.
