Clinton Spokesman Phil Singer Responds to Obama
"While Sen. Obama copies John Edwards by spending his days attacking other Democrats, Sen. Clinton is talking about how she'll address the nation's energy crisis. Sen. Obama is well aware that the former president was saying that the Republicans will do anything to play politics with a serious issue. So instead of launching another attack against the Clintons, Sen. Obama should join with them in working to prevent all Democrats from being attacked by the GOP."
On renewable fuels:
"Sen. Clinton has backed tax incentives for blending ethanol into gasoline, tax credits for installing ethanol pumps, and a mandate that our nation's fuel supply contain 36 billion gallons of ethanol by 2022. She has always been a supporter of ethanol except for a time when there was evidence that the state she represents in the U.S. Senate would be hurt economically. Apparently, Sen. Obama thinks misleading the voters about his fellow candidates' records is what the politics of hope is all about."
