Clinton Camp’s Response to Obama’s Economic Speech

Clinton camp says in a statement: “Presidents have to do more than announce principles. They have to solve problems…” Full statement here.

In campaign conference call, policy director Neera Tanden and spokesmen Howard Wolfson and Phil Singer go after Obama as well.

Singer compares Thursday speech to incident with Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick: “Suffice it to say, the Obama campaign didn’t call over here to borrow some policy ideas.” 

Also take questions on Rev. Wright comments, McCain’s foreign policy speech, the negative tone between the candidates.

Also sends out campaign memo research memo to attempt to make the case that Obama’s plan is a “copy” of Clinton’s last week.  Read it here.
