“A Very Cool Look at Yesterday and Today’s National Surveys”

9:55 p.m. E.T.

ESSENTIAL READING: A memo with that subject line went out Monday evening from Bill McInturff, the super smart Republican pollster who is part of the venerable NBC News/Wall Street Journal polling team.

Veteran GOP strategist McInturff is without a doubt rooting for a Romney win (his partner, Neil Newhouse, is the former Massachusetts governor’s chief pollster), but his clear-eyed analysis isn’t partisan.

Among McInturff’s key areas to watch (with which I agree…): how much of the vote is white versus non-white; how big an edge does Romney have with white voters; how big an edge does the President have with non-white voters; and how do the independents break down.

All of this is in the context of the endgame public polling.

Read McInturff’s memo, that was sent to some of his clients, here.
