Will Romney talk about his Mormon leadership work this week?
My discussion with Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC:
“If he does that and he does it well, I think, for some of us, it will beg the question, why did he wait until here? But it is something that they’ve telegraphed. At the breakfast we were at this morning, Eric Fehrnstrom, who’s worked with Governor Romney a long time, presented a point of view that said, oh, Governor Romney has talked about this many times before but we have never seen him tell the stories that, as reporters have written about them, are quite compelling, of serving as the leader of the church in his area. Now, the left will come after him for a variety of reasons on those things but those things but those stories are about the most humanizing things we’ve ever heard about Mitt Romney. And, if they come out of his own mouth, it’ll be quite something.”
