Finally, here’s the Obama campaign Medicare response TV ad:
Four interesting aspects of the spot jump out:
- It uses the AARP as a validator both for ObamaCare and against Romney-Ryan’s Medicare reform.
- It concedes that Ryan’s voucher program would only impact “future” retirees and actually says “could” rather than “would.” Those are interesting concessions.
- It isn’t spooky/scary negative in tone — even the picture of Romney and Ryan isn’t so bad!
- It plays defense along with offense, which will increase Boston’s confidence on the battle even more.
