Well, before the Obama-Biden camp could get together and release what I predict will be an onslaught of Medicare TV ads about Romney-Ryan, the fasties in Boston put out this spot:

NARRATOR: “You paid in to Medicare for years. Every paycheck. Now, when you need it, Obama has cut $716 billion dollars from Medicare. Why? To pay for Obamacare. So now the money you paid for your guaranteed healthcare is going to a massive new government program that’s not for you. The Romney-Ryan plan protects Medicare benefits for today’s seniors and
strengthens the plan for the next generation.”

Watch it here.

Note that the spot features Ryan’s name and image, along with Romney. And it plays the Obamacare card in a way that Boston thinks is totally winning.

The commercial plays offense in a way that won races for Republicans in 2010. It still begs the question of how Romney plans to explain his own Medicare ideas — and link them to saving the program for future generations and job creation.
