I’ve read a lot of newspapers and watched a lot of talk shows and waded through my intravenous feeds of Twitter posts and transcripts and here’s what I think:

A. Team Romney hasn’t really answered the main Bain questions (yet).

PREDICTION: When Romney or his aides are asked about his time at Bain going forward, they will go to the asked-and-answered-and-we-should-be-talking-about-the-President’s-economic-record auto reply.

B. Both Chicago and Boston seem to want to spend time claiming the other campaign is more negative.

PREDICTION: The First Lady and Mrs. Romney will care more about this question than real voters.

C. With, at most, weeks to go, there remains remarkably little public advocacy by politicians or key groups for any of the veep prospects that Romney might tap.

PREDICTION: We just might soon see a story about the behind-the-scenes lobbying — for and against.
