A new Pew poll showing Obama leading the horserace 50% — 43% and holding an edge on handling the economy is going to turn up the anxiety in GOPville.

Given Boston’s limited budget for current (as opposed to general election) spending, is there anything Romney can do pre-VP pick to change the dynamic?
