Adding Kevin Madden to the Romney campaign plane is a good move for Boston. Madden has the respect and trust of the long-time Romney loyalists (because he is one), and/but he also has the respect and trust of the national media. He is that relatively rare Republican communications expert who understands the heart of the conservative movement while also being able to deal with the realities of the press. And he has extensive Hill ties as well.

As more, and more senior, national political reporters get inside the Romney bubble, everyone will be better served with Madden on board.
