Clever, thoughtful Pete Wehner makes Mitt Romney the favorite and lists the reasons why. It is a perfectly well reasoned piece but I think, barring some major game changing event, this race is too-close-to-call through Election Day. There are about thirty variables on each side now that could swing this election, and predicting where each will end up in what combination is impossible. The portion of the national town square occupied by political obsessives (including TV programs!) will be filled non-stop with the questions “who is the favorite?” and “who will win?” through November. I can argue it either way and/or I can’t really answer it. I admire Pete, but he’s only laying out part of the truth.
So we've compared Ukraine-Russia to every conflict known to man except the Dune trilogy. Can someone please get started on that?—

The very active account anonymously curates the latest news surrounding international relations and national security, specifically regarding conflict. The feed, which rarely deviates from tweeting traditional headlines, pulls from hundreds of political, security and intelligence sources to find and tweet the nuggets its followers don’t necessarily know they need to know. The most interaction you’ll have with it is a whole lot of favorites. —Andrew Katz
