‘Senador Puertorriqueño’ Says English Required

Santo told a San Juan newspaper that Puerto Rico should only gain statehood if English became the main language:”As in any other state, you have to comply with this and any federal law. And that is that English has to be the main language.”

And/But: Pennsylvanian claims intimate link to the archipelago, says he was referred to at home as “Senador Puertorriqueño.”
