Halperin: “Rick Santorum’s surprisingly strong Super Tuesday victories in Tennessee and Oklahoma show he can beat Romney in Southern states even with Newt Gingrich in the race, but he needs a one-on-one shot against the front runner to have a legitimate chance to knock him out when the fight moves north and west… Obama’s frustrated denunciation of the Republican candidates’ criticism of his national-security policies on Israel and Iran are reminiscent of what George W. Bush felt in 2004, when he believed Democratic candidates were naively playing politics by criticizing him….”
