Pawlenty: Obama Apology Not “Needed”

On “Fox & Friends” Friday, Romney surrogate calls Obama’s letter to Karzai unnecessary, says “the other side of the ledger” needs to “reconcile” their actions.

Pawlenty
: “I don’t think an additional gesture by the President was necessary. And, by the way, if we want to get apologies, then let’s go to the other side of the ledger and look at Hamid Karzai’s behavior, the Afghan government’s behavior, their military’s behavior, their police behavior and let’s have them then reconcile that back to us. So, I don’t think he needed to do it and should have done it after the military had already apologized.”
