Weekly unemployment filings fall to 348,000, the fewest number of claims since March 2008.

Reuters: “New claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly fell last week to a near four-year low, a government report showed on Thursday, suggesting the labor market was finally strengthening.”

Bloomberg: “Claims for jobless benefits expectedly dropped last week to the lowest level in four years, showing the U.S. job market is on the mend.”
