Weekly unemployment filings fall to 348,000, the fewest number of claims since March 2008.

AP: “The number of people seeking unemployment benefits fell to the lowest point in almost four years last week, the latest signal that the job market is steadily improving.”

Reuters: “New claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly fell last week to a near four-year low, a government report showed on Thursday, suggesting the labor market was finally strengthening.”
