Santo: Mitt “Surrounded by Washington”

Pennsylvanian tells Mark Halperin Romney’s outside-the-Beltway pitch doesn’t holder muster:

“He has more Washington insiders managing his campaign and influencing the decisions that are going on in his campaign. It’s sort of funny that the guy who is surrounded by Washington is now saying he’s the outsider when I’m out here as a one-man band.”

AND: Forecasts negative route will not net the frontrunner more support.

“This same old song from Gov. Romney just isn’t going to wash again. They’ve seen this story and they haven’t warmed up to him and I think they’re going to warm up to him even less after he goes through round number three or four of trying to find how to bash, effectively bash, an opponent without offering any ideas.”
