Newt Goes After Romney World

On “Fox News Sunday,” Gingrich says Romney’s “basic policy of carpet bombing the opponent” designed to disguise his “Massachusetts liberal” views.

Ex-Speaker: “It would be hard for Romney to defend himself.”

AND: Tweaks Boston surrogates Dole and McCain for their failed candidacies.

Gingrich: “We tried a moderate in 1996 and he couldn’t debate Bill Clinton effectively and he lost….We tried a moderate in 2008. He couldn’t debate Barack Obama effectively and lost.”
