In upbeat concession speech, Romney sticks to focusing attacks on Obama and never goes after Gingrich by name.

Hits Bam for "never having run a business" and Newt implicitly for joining the "assault on free enterprise."

Romney: "Those who pick up the weapons of the left today will find them used against them tomorrow."

Prepares troops for long haul/tweaks rivals for lack of ballot access "I will compete in every single state. We're going to win this nomination."

Halperin's Take

It is hard to see how that speech will help Romney regain his footing. It is likely going to take Romney himself to drive a message to stop Gingrich; he can't rely on his Super PAC. Some will say he wasted the Saturday spotlight by not laying down a tougher rhetorical marker against Newt.
