Utahan ends his bid for the GOP nomination, endorses Romney Monday in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Calls for party unity, decries state of the race: “This race has degenerated into an onslaught of negative and personal attacks not worthy of the American people and not worthy of this critical time in our nation’s history. This is the most important election of our lifetime. The current toxic forum of our political discourse does not help our cause.”

An amazing turn, which probably makes it more likely that Romney will win the South Carolina primary since the coastal Establishment vote will likely now cluster around the Bay Stater. It is quite striking that the two former rivals have now teamed up. And it will change the dynamics in this week's debates.
