Newt Goes Off on Paul

Gingrich Paul

On CNN’s “The Situation Room,” Georgian tells Blitzer he could not vote for the Texan, his record reflects a “systemic avoidance of reality” and his “views are totally outside the mainstream of virtually every decent American.”

Ex-Speaker then hits the ’12er on myriad of foreign policy positions and says Paul “would have to go a long way to explain” the newsletters that appeared under his name.

Gingrich: “[Paul] says he didn’t really realize what was in it. Had no idea what he was making money on. Had no idea that it was racist, anti-Semitic, called for the destruction of Israel, talked about a race war. All this is a sudden shock to Ron Paul? There will come a morning when people don’t take him as a serious person.”
