Romney: Super PACs a “Disaster”

When I asked Gingrich last week in Iowa if he wanted to call on his rivals to ask their Super PACs to cease and desist, he said it was up to the other candidates. Now, he is being more aggressive. Romney is acting like his hands are tied, but they really aren't. He has made several comments of late that basically have said, politics ain't beanbag. For those who think Gingrich's tact is doomed to fail: Mike Huckabee did basically the same thing four years ago when under Romney attack -- and he still won Iowa. No two cycles are alike, however....

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” frontrunner derides existence of the outside groups.

Romney: “Campaign finance law has made a mockery of our political campaign season. We really ought to let campaigns raise the money they need and just get rid of these Super PACs.”
