Romney Clarifies Medicaid Comments

Seriously, Democrats, this is not what the election should be about. Romney clarified what he meant. Time to move on.

On board charter to South Carolina, Bay Stater made clear he exaggerated his “lack of knowledge” on the entitlement program Fri. morning in Sioux City and his comments referred to his 1994 Senate run, not his election as MA Guv.

Romney, in progress, on the plane: “…so, the particulars of how much is federal, how much is state, when you switch from one program to the other program, the particulars I was not familiar with until a time when got into campaigns. But how important they were to hospitals and how much came from Medicaid and Medicare, yeah.”

Romney campaign spokesperson Andrea Saul responds to DNC attacks focusing on the remarks.
