AP reports version of inadvertently posted, unfinished Romney Super PAC TV ad to hit Iowa airwaves Fri.

The serious-as-a-heart-attack ad hits Newt on his “ton of baggage”: ethics charges, Freddie Mac, health care industry money, immigration, Pelosi, individual mandate. (In Boston, we call that “chutzpah.”)

“30 years in Washington flip-flopping on issues.”

Brittany Gross of the Romney Super PAC emails: “We’re not commenting. It’s an unfinished ad.”

Gingrich camp reax Thurs. night: “This won’t be the first, this won’t be the last. There’s going to be an awful lot of them and none of them are going to work.”

Watch it above.

Script: “Why is this man smiling? Because his plan is working. Brutally attack Mitt Romney and hope Newt Gingrich is his opponent. Why? Newt has a ton of baggage. Like the fact Gingrich was fined $300,000 for ethics violations or that he took at least $1.6 million from Freddi Mac just before it helped cause the economic melt down. Then there’s the $37 million Gingrich took from health care industry groups. And on the issues? Newt’s been on all sides. He supports amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants. Gingrich even teamed up with Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore on global warming. And Newt was a longtime supporter of a national health insurance mandate, the centerpiece of Obamacare. Maybe that’s why George Will called Gingrich the least conservative candidate. The Gingrich record? 30 years in Washington flip-flopping on issues.
