In late Thurs. morning statement, President says "we are not going to allow politics as usual" to stand in the way of Cordray's nomination, extending the payroll tax cut.
President defends stance on Iran: "No options off the table means that I'm considering all options... This administration has imposed the toughest sanctions on Iran, ever."
On Europe, President says "the question is whether they can muster the political will" to solve their debt problem and adds "Europe is wealthy enough that there's no reason they can't solve this problem."
