Sununu: Gingrich “Irrational”

On Thurs. morning media conference call, Romney super surrogate Sununu says Gingrich uses "off-the-cuff" thinking, was "self-serving" and "anti-conservative" when he "undercut Paul Ryan" on Medicare.

Talent "reluctantly" criticizes Gingrich's record as Speaker, says he is not a "trustworthy leader."

Halperin's Take

Given what many Republicans actually think of Gingrich, this is tame stuff. The question is does it hit the sweet spot in which it doesn't rile up Gingrich enough to counter-attack while still breaking through to voters.
