Static analysis: Gingrich will be the Republican nominee. The Romney campaign will have to take him down. Hoping Ron Paul beats Newt in Iowa is not a plan. And the notion that Romney can lose Iowa and South Carolina and still win Florida does not, right now, look like a sensible proposition
