At Atlanta HQ Saturday, candidate “suspends” campaign, says he plans to endorse soon.

Cain: “I am suspending my presidential campaign because of the continued distraction, the continued hurt caused on me and my family.”

Iowa chair reacts: “I can’t say it was a surprise, but my counsel would have been to stay the course and see it through.”

Romney can surely get some Cain supporters, but mostly this is good for Gingrich. Unless Perry, Bachmann or Santorum catch fire soon, conservatives who don't like Romney are going to pretty much have one place to go if they want to stop the Bay Stater.
