’12ers React to the Super Committee’s Failure

Romney: "He's done nothing. It is another example of failed leadership. He has not taken personal responsibility to get the super committee to find ways to balance the budget and cut spending."

Gingrich: "Collapse of the Super Committee...[is] good for America."

Cain: "Obama forced Congress to establish the super committee and then said “NO” to any serious plan to cut spending. He has failed the American people once again."

Huntsman: "The fact that the president's utter abandonment of leadership on our debt crisis necessitated a super committee signals his failure and Washington's dysfunction."

Perry: "The whole reason a super committee was created was because the President wasn't willing to lead, wasn't willing to even put on paper his plans for cutting spending."

Santorum: "This President has played class warfare to divide America."

Bachmann: "Mr. President, your Super Committee has failed the American people. You were elected president to lead, not to ignore the problems of our country and our economy."
