Ex-Speaker’s campaign backtracks, posts fact sheet online instead of releasing Freddie Mac contract.
At Des Moines Politico Energy forum, ex-Speaker says the mortgage giant was “one of many clients” his Gingrich Group did work for, claims he does not know how much Freddie paid.
Still insists he “did no lobbying of any kind” and only offered “strategic advice.”
