Adds GOP jobs plan prioritizes peeling back regulations — "dirty water, dirty air" — over putting first responders back to work.

Taking the stage after his wife, Obama says he married up, goal for men is "to improve the gene pool."

YESTERDAY: On campaign-style swing through NC, VA Tues., tells high school audience to demand Senate pass AJA to "put those teachers back to work."

Repeats applause line: "I don't care if you're Republican or a Democrat. This is not the Republican Jobs Act. This is not the Democratic Jobs Act. This is called the American Jobs Act."

Tells the top 1%, "you can afford" tax increase.

Obama: "Wherever we have the possibility to work together and move this economy forward, I'm going to seize on this opportunity."
