Speaker: “Stop the Campaign”

In weekly presser, Boehner calls on Obama to “stop the campaign and start listening…find common ground and move ahead.”

Boehner says House to take action on 3% witholding provision from President’s jobs plan.

On Super Committee’s struggles, says they have “a big job to do and no one expected this would occur without some difficulty.”

Promises the House and Senate will vote on Balanced Budget Amendment before the end of 2011.

One advantage Republicans have now is that they are unified. When the Speaker speaks, he's speaking for almost all Republican members of Congress and the grassroots — in tone and substance. That makes Obama's mission harder.
