Huntsman Holds Granite Town Hall


Utahan follows foreign policy address by switching gears to economy, answering crowd’s questions at Tilton, NH train depot.

Huntsman: “This country needs a balanced budget amendment.”

Turning back to foreign policy, Huntsman says “it’s not 100,000 boots on the ground we need.” Repeats call “the time is right to bring our troops home.”

Says running for office because it’s unacceptable “to pass down America that’s less productive, less prosperous.”

Huntsman says country needs to “wake up to the reality” US has more natural gas than Saudi Arabia has crude oil. Cannot rely on “heroin-like addiction” to foreign oil.

Adds he wants to make India permanent UN Sec. Council member, confront Pakistan on support for terrorism.
