Also dismisses Perry hunting ground controversy, adds, “I grew up in the segregated South and I’m not mad at America.”

One advantage Cain has now over Perry: presidential elections are more about personality and likability than policy and issues. Cain is putting himself out with Leno and the ladies of The View, and Perry has not done that. Perry is a lot more personable than he has shown so far. There are other reasons for Cain's rise and Perry's fall, but this is surely one of them.
