Solyndra, Obama's deficit plan top the agenda in Carney's session with reporters.
Highlights:
Asked if Obama is "embarrassed" about Solyndra, Carney sidesteps the question and says President "absolutely committed" to high-tech technology innovation. "There's always an element of politics in these things."
Says there's "no evidence" WH was involved with loan.
On Obama's deficit proposal, Carney says we have "never seen" Social Security as a "driving factor" of our deficit problem.

The Solyndra investigative media hounds have been let loose, with different news organizations pursuing additional spin-off angles. This one isn't going away any time soon. What would Candidate Obama have said about this, given what we know, if it had happened in the Bush administration? Just asking...
