Halperin's Take

Scott Brown won't be easy to beat, although, as Bill Weld found when he tried to take on John Kerry, a presidential year is not the best time to run statewide in Massachusetts as a Republican. If Romney is at the top of the ticket, Brown is in better shape. If Perry is, Warren would have a much better chance -- assuming she wins the nomination. It will be interesting to see if her supporters on the left can raise her big money -- and what kind of skills she has as a first-time candidate.
