Jindal Backs Neighbor, Away from VP Run

La. Gov says will not be Perry running mate. But backs Texan for WH.

Rick Perry:
Gov. Bobby Jindal (LA)
Sen. Jim Inhofe (OK)
Rep. Steve Scalise (LA-1)
Rep. Candice Miller (MI-10)
Rep. Sam Graves (MO-6)
Rep. Mick Mulvaney (SC-5)
Rep. Jeb Hensarling (TX-5)
Rep. John Culberson (TX-7)
Rep. Michael McCaul (TX-10)
Rep. Pete Sessions (TX-32)

Mitt Romney:
Gov. Butch Otter (ID)
Gov. Dave Heineman (NE)
Sen. Jim Risch (ID)
Sen. Orrin Hatch (UT)
Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-3)
Rep. Buck McKeon (CA-25)
Rep. Mary Bono Mack (CA-45)
Rep. John Campbell (CA-48)
Rep. Ander Crenshaw (FL-2)
Rep. Connie Mack (FL-14)
Rep. Tom Rooney (FL-16)
Rep. Mike Simpson (ID-1)
Rep. Joe Heck (NV-3)
Rep. Rob Bishop (UT-1)
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (UT-3)

This is a good get, although Perry was going to be a strong Bayou fundraiser on his own. It has been widely known for awhile that Jindal looks favorably on Perry. The-man-they-call-Bobby has a well-earned national following in elite party circles as a thoughtful guy. And/but, not to minimize the backing, but the big prize guvs (including MI, FL, OH, IN) remain uncommitted.
