Then, on “Today,” Matt Lauer will interview Cheney live on Tuesday, August 30, 2011. In the interviews, Cheney will discuss his new memoir In My Time, which covers his four decades in politics, his life before, during and after the White House, his family and his health.
For more than forty years, Vice President Cheney served at the highest levels of government and the private sector. From his position as the youngest White House Chief of Staff under Gerald Ford to becoming Secretary of Defense under George H.W. Bush (overseeing America’s military during Operation Desert Storm and the historic transition at the end of the Cold War), to serving two terms as Vice President under George W.
