Highlights:

Sec. LaHood calls on Congress to “stop your vacation” and return to pass “clean bill” to end FAA standoff. Says lawmakers’ words “ring very hollow” to workers.

Carney says he does not believe nation will suffer double-dip recession, cites outside reports that "the U.S. economy will continue to grow" in third and fourth quarters.

On why Obama didn't have public signing, Carney says "It needed to be signed very quickly" and president didn't feel that "popping champagne bottles" was fitting after "we averted a crisis" that was never "necessary in the first place."
